Modernization & safety update for two HEINKEL HF600 inverting filter centrifuges

The new control units include the power section for the rotary drive, including a regenerative unit and safety-related control system. This not only increases operational safety, but also saves costs through efficient utilization of electrical energy.

In contrast to systems with braking resistors, the energy is not converted into waste heat when the centrifuge brakes, but is fed back into the supply network by the REVCON regenerative unit.

This procedure has two advantages:

1) Utilization of the energy fed back
2) Saving energy as the waste heat does not have to be dissipated by a costly air conditioning system in the control room
